  3. Put the rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds in a mixer grinder. Add in half of the grated bottle gourd. Grind all these to a smooth batter
  4. Transfer the batter to a bowl. Add salt to taste and mix well.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan. Drizzle a few drops of oil. Pour a ladleful of batter onto it and spread it in a circular motion to make a round chilla. Sprinkle a small portion of grated bottle gourd and a pinch of chilli powder over it. Cover and cook on a low flame for 1-2 minutes or until the lower side turns little brownish.
  6. Uncover and turn the chilla upside down. Cook covered for another 1-2 minutes or until done.
  7. Repeat the process to make similar chillas with rest of the batter and grated bottle gourd.
  8. Serve the bottle gourd chilla hot with coconut chutney or green chutney.
