  1. Peel and chop the bottle gourd. Make tempering in pan with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric, asafoetida and curry leaves in oil. Put bottle gourd in pan and mix well.
  2. Cover with lid and cook for 10 minutes. Add the spices, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add besan, mix thoroughly and cover with lid. Cook for 5 minutes and switch off the flame. Bottle gourd sabji is ready to serve with chapati.
