In a pressure cooker add ghee heat it then add cumin seeds when they splatter add chopped onion saute until they turn translucent.now add ginger garlic paste green chillies,saute until the raw smell goes.add tomatoes and salt then add powder spices cook until the tomatoes turn soft.add lauki and mix well that masala coated it well.cook 3-4 minutes.stir occasionally
  3. Now add the dal and one cup water mix well then pressure cook for 3 whistle.open the lid.dal has cooked with lauki.
  4. For tempering in a tadka pan heat 1tbsp ghee.add cumin seeds and whole red chilli.wgen they crackle turn off the flame.pour it into cooked dal.garnished with chopped coriander leaves.serve the tasty dal with roti or rice
