- Make ready 2 tomatoes

Take bottlegourd, and all the ingredients mentioned in a pot, cover with water, Bring it to a boil, simmer the pot and cook on a low heat till dal is cooked. Now add in salt and mix well. Now make seasoning by heating oil, add in cumin and let it sizzle.
Instructions to make Bottle-gourd dal:
- First wash the dal and soap for 30 minutes then add pieces of bottle gourd and tomato then put in pressure cooker and take for whistles.
- Then next a take pan heat oil then add cumin seeds mustard seeds curry leaves dry chilli turmeric powder and then add Dal Puri add garam masala then after add coriander lemon juice and serve with paratha or rice.
Now add in salt and mix well. Now make seasoning by heating oil, add in cumin and let it sizzle. Once onion is brown, add dal and fry for few mins. Then add tomatoes, sorakaya pieces, tamarind, turmeric, and water for cooking. When the pressure is off, take the dal masher or pappu guthi, mash the dal well with the red chillies.
