I made this Lauki aloo ki sabzi in the pressure cooker.
Steps to make Bottle Gourd sabji:
- Peel and chop the bottle gourd. Make tempering in pan with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric, asafoetida and curry leaves in oil. Put bottle gourd in pan and mix well.
- Cover with lid and cook for 10 minutes. Add the spices, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add besan, mix thoroughly and cover with lid. Cook for 5 minutes and switch off the flame. Bottle gourd sabji is ready to serve with chapati.
It requires minimal cooking ingredients and tastes delicious. I made this Lauki aloo ki sabzi in the pressure cooker. Lauki ki sabzi or lauki ki bhujia roughly translates to bottle gourd curry. But "Bhujia" literally has no translation in English, and the closest word we go to is "curry". But technically, this isn't a curry at all.
