  11. Prepare 3-4 stem mint leaves
  12. Make ready 1 1/2 medium size tomato chopped
  13. Prepare 3/4 tsp red chilli powder
  14. Make ready Salt as required
  15. Take drops Few lemon

Allow them to cook for a minute. Bottle Gourd also known as lauki or doodhi is a vegetable that kids usually don't prefer to eat. Prepare Gourd Kalia with cooked bottle gourd over rice. If the bottle gourd has mature seeds please remove them.

Steps to make Bottle Gourd Rice:
  1. Heat a pressure cooker with oil and ghee and temper with whole spices.
  2. Add onion and red chilli. sauté until it becomes very soft.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté until raw smell goes.
  4. Add coriander leaves and mint leaves. Sauté for few mins. Add tomato and sauté until it becomes soft. Add red chilli powder and salt.
  5. Add bottle gourd and sauté for few mins. Add water and mix it well. Add rice and finally add few lemon drops. Close the lid and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  6. Serve with any raita.

Prepare Gourd Kalia with cooked bottle gourd over rice. If the bottle gourd has mature seeds please remove them. A rich, spicy gravy, packed with the goodness of dry fruits like raisins and almonds.
