- Remove the silver skin from the backside of the ribs. Here is wher we need to decide if we are making moist ribs or dry ribs. If you are doing dry ribs, you know cut them into individual ribs. If you want a moist rib, leave the rack whole.
- Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl. This will be used for basting.
- Lay the ribs in a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Lay ribs on cookie sheets and brush with sauce so there is a thin coat on ribs.
- Place in oven that has been preheated to 350°F. We will baste the ribs again at 30 minutes and the 60 minute marks.
- Once they have been baking for an hour, we now baste them every 15 minutes until they develop a nice bark on the surface. The picture here shows the bark developing on the left side of the ribs. We are getting closer to being done.
- Continue baking until the bark is to your liking. I prefer a nice bark over entire rib. Cooking time is anywhere from approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours. It depends on how thick the rib meat is.
- Now if you have done dry ribs, it will not develop a bark, only a little brown color. Cooking time will be approximately 90 minutes for the dry ribs. Give a slight dusting of garlic powder as soon as removed from oven.
